March 2024 -  THOSE GIRLS … TO THE RESCUE —— Those Girls Tag Sales gets an A+++++ from me.  My story… Background.  My husband & I were married 61 years and lived in our home for 52 years.  We had decided to move to a retirement home, had selected the apartment and knew we had lots of “stuff” to get rid of.  We thought about a garage sale or auction … gave that idea up ( too many items and too much work ).  I contacted 3 tag sales companies.  Those Girls were recommended by one of the folks at our church.  We decided they would meet our needs, even though we could never have imagined  how great our need would be.  My husband died before we could move to the apartment, so I was left with lots of decisions to make.  Our two children helped, too.  I moved to the apartment soon after his passing.  We had met with Those Girls earlier.  They had explained fees and how they operated.  They are two very compassionate ladies, well organized, thorough, caring, and good listeners.  They organized all the items left at the house, (I think in the 100’s), marketed them/leaving the house barren of all the items we left.  Their thorough attention to detail, removed a heavy burden from my shoulders.  Our kids didn’t need to try to dispose of all the things that were left.  Those Girls communicated often when they had a question about an item.  I truly could not have felt more at ease than working with these ladies.  As I look back, I’m sure angels were watching over our family to bring us Those Girls.  They are worth my deep appreciation and thanks for coming to the rescue.      JoAnn Murphy

January 2021 -  I’ve been going to tag sales as long as I can remember. I love auctions, garage sales, all of it. But my favorite thing is going to Those Girls Tag Sales. Items are organized, priced fairly, and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The sales are always full of unique and interesting things, I love the thrill of the hunt and the anticipation of finding something utterly special. I’ve met so many nice people (and characters) while waiting for a ticket on many a Saturday morning. There is a lot of camaraderie amongst the “regulars”.

After my Dad passed we had an entire house and 4 stall garage to clean out. I had a grandiose idea that I could handle a sale and do it myself. When I came to my senses, I had Bev and Kathy take over my parent’s sale.  Their process is a well, oiled machine, an art, a pure talent. They handled EVERYTHING swiftly, smoothly and professionally. And all during a pandemic!

My hobby is antiquing, acquiring fun and unusual items, and spending time with kind and accommodating people. That would be Bev and Kathy and their wonderful staff. Thanks so much for 20 years of fun and taking such great care of my parent’s sale.

November 2019 - My beloved aunt had passed away from a valiant fight with cancer. She didn't have any children and all of her affairs were left for her brothers to figure out. February 2019 - Right in the middle of the February that had the most snowfall in history, our family needed to empty a house that had been home to our brother and sister for over 60 years.  We needed HELP.

Our brother had moved his basic and most valuable possessions to his new assisted living apartment.  Those Girls Tag Sales was the service that rescued us for the rest.  A very clear contract was signed, and the sorting began.  Beverly and Kathy did the organizing, advertising, display, and management of the sale days.  Despite the cold and the snow, the sale was successful.  They then put us in contact with a “haul-out” team that cleared everything that was left, distributing much to various charities in Lincoln.

October 2018 -  Bev and Kathy handled the tag sale of the items that I was unable to move into the retirement facility.  They were very efficient and also understanding about how hard it was for me to part with many of the things that I had had for many years. It was unfortunate that a snowstorm hampered sale attendance on the second day, so there were more things left than would have been with a good sale day, but they arranged for someone to clean out all that was left. September 2018-   Dick and I are extremely pleased with ThoseGirls Bev and Kathy.  They were very professional and very helpful as we sold our household possessions.  And, did I mention efficient?  Bev and Kathy are pros at this.  They came in, assessed the value and quickly responded that our furniture would sell.  Next stop was to photograph everything, set a price, and put up online.  Ours was a consignment sale where the bidding was done online.  The two Sunday pickups by buyers ran very smoothly.

September 2018 - If I could give this company a 100 star review, I would!  I sell real estate and I’ve used this company twice this year.  The first time was for clients of mine and the second time was to have an estate sale for my uncle who recently passed away.  The first time I was able to book them was on very short notice for a client of mine.  As a result, I used them to hold an online consignment sale as they were already booked up to actually hold a tag sale at the property.  I was a little nervous about doing an online event but I shouldn’t have been.  Bev and Kathy came into the home, selected  those items they felt were best suited for an online sale, did their research for optimal pricing, photographed each item carefully and put it online. THEN, they got permission from someone they were conducting a tag sale for that was nearby to bring selected items from my clients’ home into the other tag sale!  The end result was that they were able to sell close to 100% of my client’s goods by using both venues.  They then made arrangements to have the small amount of merchandise that was left over picked up, donated and provide receipts for the donation!  When they were finished, my clients received a very nice check from the proceeds of the sale and the home was completely empty and ready to be cleaned prior to the closing!

Bev and Kathy just finished up the tag sale at my uncle’s home and the results were, once again, amazing!  My uncle’s home was very cluttered and crowded but they took control  - sold some of the larger furniture pieces online prior to the tag sale so that there would be room at the house to maximize the actual sale.  Again, they did their research, brought in an antiques appraiser for a few special items and ended up selling practically everything in my uncle’s home over the two day period.  They found a buyer for an antique music box that was valued at several thousand dollars and got a full price sale!  They told me that player pianos were very difficult to sell and that I should anticipate trying to find a place to donate them.  They not only sold one, but TWO player pianos! 

If you ever have a need to conduct a tag sale or an online sale for your personal property, do not hesitate to call on these wonderful women and their staff.   The work they have done for me and for my clients is truly amazing.  They are thorough, they do their research in order to correctly price your items, they are extremely organized and they are as honest as the day is long and they do it all with smiles on their faces and a professional attitude that is second to none.  I move forward having the confidence to be able to recommend this company to my clients, my friends and my family without reservation.  Thank you so much for all you have done Bev and Kathy. ---  Bruce Hahn

Dear Kathy and Bev,

My family and I can't begin to thank you for helping us through an extremely difficult time...cleaning out our mom's home. With the shock of her passing, selling the family home in just a few days, and then realizing that we had to clean it all out in just ten days...we really didn't know where to begin.

A recommendation of Those Girls Tag Sales came to us and I made the call. You were both so professional and yet compassionate to work with. All of our mom's beautiful collections and furniture had to go and it is so difficult to "let it go." My husband put it to me in the best possible terms, "You don't want her things, you want her" and he was right. 

You gave us a few days to pick out our favorite items, then you came in with your team and wrapped everything up and took it away for another sale that was going on. The furniture left in the house all sold in the two days you had it open. All the items were gone when the house closed. That was a miracle right there. We knew we'd all be trying to figure out what to do with everything at the last minute, but you made it so we didn't have to do that.

This chapter in our family has now closed and we have started a new one, but the help you gave to us when we needed it was so valuable. You are rated A+++ in our book and we will never forget how you came to our aid when we needed it the most.

May 24th, 2014  - Those Girls Tag Sales was an absolute game changer for us as we prepared to move.  Bev and Kathy have a business model that exceeded expectations.  They were very professional and efficient in how they proceeded with managing the sale of our items.  Everything worked like clock-work.  They worked very hard to sell all of our items and during the last showing were able to successfully sell 100% of our items.  This alleviated any extra steps or hassles for us to deal with the items we no longer wanted.  They closed out our account in an expeditious manner and we were all ready to move.

August 13, 2013 --Bev and Kathy - I want to thank you for a job well done.  Every item was priced individually which was a challenge in it self.  My shop was full of small tools by the box full, yet everything was priced by the item. 

The kitchen is packed with many small items - each priced throughout the house every item priced, this takes much time and consideration.  You said you usually sell around 90% of everything.  My thought was it will never happen, but the end result, they were correct. 

Wonderful job girls.

Now I’d like to compare our experience with two auctions we tried on some of our better quality collectibles.  Very disappointing, several items sometimes several boxes put together bringing the price one items would have brought.

Hello! I wanted to thank you, for everything that you did to make my Mom's estate sale a success!! I knew you were the best!!

I was amused when.....I went into a local shop the Monday following the sale, and the clerk there was talking about the "amazing tag sale" that went on that weekend. She said her customers were talking about it.

I really appreciate that the respect and care you took of my Mom's things. I told my husband.....my mom would have liked both of you! I'm sorry I teared up on Sunday. It has been a difficult time, but you help to make the transition much easier. It's good to know that 1) So much of everything sold  and 2) People went home with things that they loved. I talked with the woman that bought my bed, and the guy that bought mom's cedar chest. They were both so excited to have them.

The check for the sale came while I was on vacation, so I just opened it the other day;. My brother and I were VERY pleased! Again thank you so much!!

Please know that I have recommended you to several people who will be interested in having a sale in the future. Forgive the delay in writing to you - some days I feel like a tennis ball that is in a continuous volley - half of the time we aren’t sure what hour of the day it is let alone what day of the week it is!

All kidding aside we are somewhat settled in the house we’ve rented - which is better than we expected - although not the one we would be interested in buying.  We are still hoping to build sometime in the coming year.

Kathy and Bev, You two (as well as your moms, husbands, etc.) do such a great job!  I LOVE getting the e-mails; I LOVE the website; and I especially LOVE coming to your sales!  With the e-mails that you send, you folks have one of the strongest lures to sales of anyone else.  My life is so busy -- I work a load of hours each week at a job that I love; I spend one weekend a month out of state with family (a six hour drive each way) -- I rarely have time to even look at my "snail" mail.  Your e-mails are a tremendous reminder that sales are coming up and since I don't delete them until the sale is over, they are a reminder every time I open my e-mail.

Your signage is great -- you do a fantastic job of getting it out into visible areas that direct customers your way.

And, you ladies are always friendly and welcoming -- I have no qualms recommending your sales to my friends.  One of my best friends was in town last weekend and I brought her to your South Edenton sale.  She loved it as well.  (Thanks also for the prompt phone call that she did not get her bid on the jewelry.)
